IEEE Branch
We are a sub-set of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) – the world’s largest technical professional organization, dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.
The ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø IEEE Student Branch was founded in 1989 by Dalhousie's Electrical Engineering students. At our branch we aim to bridge the gap between industry and academia by enhancing the technical and professional skills of engineering students and by providing the exposure that students need to be successful in their engineering careers. We do so by conducting workshops, design challenges, hackathons, technical talks, career-advancing seminars, and conferences.
Though the society’s name references electrical engineering, our events are open to students of all backgrounds!
