Research and Innovation portfolio

The Office of the Vice-President, Research and Innovation (OVPRI) oversees all research and innovation activities at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, offering support for research administration, awards, compliance, and major research facilities.

The OVPRI broadens the research enterprise by promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, strengthening university partnerships with industry and the public, and enabling the effective dissemination of new knowledge through publications, technology transfer, commercialization, and community engagement.

The Office of Research Services supports researchers through every step of the research funding cycle, from preparing a proposal and applying for funding to post-award processing.

The Office of Commercialization and Industry Engagement (OCIE) works with researchers, alumni, and industry partners to move Dal’s discoveries and innovations from the lab to the marketplace.

Dal Innovates empowers students and faculty to develop the necessary knowledge, skills, and mindsets to thrive in the innovation economy.

DRAC comprises the Associate Deans Research who act as a liaison between the Faculties and the OVPRI and advise the vice-president research and innovation on issues relating to the research enterprise at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø.
