Tri-Agency (NSERC, SSHRC, CIHR)

Canada Foundation for Innovation

The helps to fund the infrastructure needs of researchers. Please note that CFI is an institutional program and applications must be submitted on behalf of the institution. Learn more about  (login required). 

John R. Evans Leaders Fund 

The Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF) provides support for the acquisition or development of research infrastructure for projects. The JELF helps ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøto attract and retain researchers who are leaders in their field and to remain competitive in priority areas as identified in the university's Strategic Research Direction.

At Dalhousie, the JELF allocation is managed at the Faculty level. Researchers interested in applying for a JELF should consult with their Dean’s Office.

Researchers requiring renovations to accommodate research infrastructure will require a quote from Facilities Management. The Faculty or department administrator will be able to facilitate this request. A quote requires at least six months to prepare.

Genome Canada

works to bridge the gap between government, academia and industry in genomics-based public-private innovation. They release opportunities on an on-call basis through their east coast centre, .
