Winter 2025 Recruitment

Winter  recruitment (for January – April 2025 work terms) begins in September and continues until early January.

  • Job Posting Deadline: Jobs can be posted anytime 
  • Jobs Go Live: September 3rd -  The first job postings are made live on September 3rd, 2024. We generally give students two weeks to apply at the beginning of the term. Then we move to 5 working days. This is flexible depending on employer timelines. 
  • BCD Jobs go Live October 1st
  • Interview Period: Anytime, we ask for 3 working days if we are setting them up
  • Job Offers Due:  Employers can offer directly to students and copy the co-op office
  • Start and end dates are negotiable between the student and employer. Work terms are generally four months (minimum 14 weeks) in duration, with a minimum of 35 hours per week (or equivalent which is 490 hours)

Summer 2025 Recruitment

Summer recruitment (for May – August 2025 work terms) begins in January and continues until early May.

  • Job Posting Dates: Jobs can be posted anytime. 
  • Jobs Go Live: The first job postings are made live when classes start on January 6, 2025.  We generally give students two weeks to apply at the beginning of the term with the majority of jobs having a deadline of January 19th, 2025. Then we move to 5 working days. This is flexible depending on employer timelines.
  • Interview Period: Anytime, we ask for 3 working days if we are setting them up.
  • Job Offers Due:  Employers can offer anytime using our Rank & Offer system which is real time (students have 48 hours to accept or decline); or offer direct to students and copy the co-op office at coopjobs@dal.ca
  • Start and end dates are negotiable between the student and employer. Work terms are generally four months (minimum 14 weeks) in duration, with a minimum of 35 hours per week (or equivalent which is 490 hours).
  • Winter Study Break: February 17-21. Only for students on an academic term. No classes are held this week, and students may be hard to reach for interviews or job offers.
