Friday, April 22, 2016: AAPG Short Course - distinguished AAPG lecturer Dr. Larry Garmezy, retired Global Exploration Advisor for Shell, will lead a one day short course on the ‘Fundamentals of basin evaluation and quantitative prospect assessment’. Participants will work in teams toÌýÌý evaluate, delineate, and describe the critical elements of a working hydrocarbon province. Thursday, October 22- Saturday, October 24: 65th Atlantic Universities Geological Conference (AUGC), was held at Saint Mary's University. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøEarth Science students won 1st place in the Challenge Bowl.
Sunday, October 4, 2015: ERTH 3303 - Joggins Field Seminar, Joggins Fossil Centre. 7am - 7pm . Joggins is a classic geological location, both for its fossil and rock features and for its contribution to the history of earth sciences. Joggins is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site and has an amazing fossil record (over 200 species of plant and animal fossils, with 63 type specimens), as well as a large expanse of cliffs continuously eroding and revealing new fossils.
