Learning Objectives: Following the guidelines outlined by the AFMC, it is our intention that the learning objectives for the BCHCR would later be incorporated into the MCC exams; The BCHCR learning objectives would include a focus on how anti-black racism influences health outcomes;
Online platform/format: The creation of an online platform that is accessible by medical and public health students across the country; Available to medical faculty across the country to facilitate the teaching of Black Canadian health content; Incorporates interactive components and modules;
Future Opportunities: A portal and platform for Continuing Professional Development sessions for faculty who teach (or will teach) Black Canadian Health content; Health professional from outside of medicine (nursing, physiotherapy, etc) and public health professionals and trainees could use and apply the content to their own fields; Post-graduate standards and training tools development (College of Family Physicians, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons):
Community participation: The development of first person/story-telling resources which documents the experiences in seeking and accessing health care and services; Including experiences with anti-black racism; best practices in Black Canadian Health Care; innovative practices.
