Post‑Doctoral Fellowships

The Department of Political Science welcomes post doctoral applications through the Killam PDF, Banting, and Donald Hill Family competitions, and others available through outside funding agencies. There are specific processes in place through the Faculty of Graduate Studies and the Department of Political Science to be considered for these opportunities. Please visit the FGS website for additional information on postdoctoral fellows, opportunities, deadlines, etc.  In order to be considered for these opportunities through the Department of Political Science, candidates must first consult with a potential supervisor prior to applying to one of the listed competitions. The potential supervisor will consult with the Department of Political Science Steering committee and other relevant faculty members within the Department before advising the candidate to formally apply. The supervisor will direct the candidate on next steps. Candidates should not apply to a competition until they have received the pre-approval to do so from the potential supervisor.
