WINTER

Winter is from December to March. February is the coldest month in Nova Scotia with an average daily high of -6 C and a night time low of -15 C.泭

What to wear

If you are from a warmer climate you should wait to buy your winter clothes in Canada.

To keep yourself warm in the winter you will need the following items: a warm rainproof winter coat, winter boots for the snow, warm gloves, a hat or toque that covers your ears, a scarf, warm sweaters, and warm socks.

Halifax winter weather includes snow mixed with rain which makes the sidewalks very icy. It is advisable then, to purchase boots that have good traction so you do not fall and rain pants to stay dry.
