Join experts from ϳԹand abroad for an RSC-Atlantic Symposium on the science of gene editing and its social, cultural, economic, and ethical implications. Each presentation will be followed by a question period and general discussion.
Topics for discussion:
- how gene editing technologies can assist in understanding how life on this planet works, giving new possibilities for treating and preventing diseases;
- the regarding ;
- the imagined future(s) that this science makes possible; and,
- some of the ethical concerns regarding the potential modification of the human species.
