Posted by Information Technology Services on May 12, 2021 in Community Highlights

— and the first step in a continuing journey to make myDal the first place you go to find out how and get things done in your work at Dalhousie.

Where Dal works … digitally

is the faculty and staff intranet at Dal. It connects you with the internal updates, services, resources, and people you need to make your work easier and to deliver results. Students are also welcome to explore myDal in addition to other tools that support education and research.

What's new

We launched — the default homepage for our digital workplace. The myDal hub includes:

  • Featured announcements showcasing important updates and initiatives
  • Quick links to key services and resources for Employee Support, Technology, Teaching & Learning, Research, and our Campus Community
  • Personalized tools and content — making it faster and easier for you to access your email, recent documents, and favourite sites
  • Upcoming faculty and staff events plus the latest technology news
  • Regular spotlight sites, showcasing new community and employee sites

Coming soon

In the months ahead, we will be building and updating myDal community, employee, and group sites, ensuring the myDal network is growing and evolving to meet the needs of Dal’s people.

These sites will offer tools and resources focused on specific business areas [e.g., Financial Services, Human Resources, Information Technology Services (ITS)] and collaboration spaces for our teams.

People power – starting with you

As a member of Dal’s community of faculty and staff, you hold the most important role on myDal. You are encouraged to use the myDal hub and coming community, employee, and group sites to find out how and get things done in your work.

Dal’s ITS team has overall responsibility for myDal, ensuring it continues to be useful and evolves in step with the needs of faculty and staff. Community, employee, and group sites will be cared for by people from across Dal’s faculties, departments, and groups.
