1. Work Assignment: INFO 5530 – Information Sources, Services & Retrieval

The sessional instructor will teach this core course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2017 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2017.

Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in information sources, services and retrieval. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

The instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.

2. Work Assignment: INFO 6560 – Information Resources Management

The sessional instructor will teach this elective course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2017 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2017.

Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in information resources management. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

The instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.

3. Work Assignment: INFO 6610 – Information Policy

The sessional instructor will teach this elective course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2017 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2017.

MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in information policy. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

The sessional instructor will teach this elective course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2017 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2017.

MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in archives. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.

5. Work Assignment: INFO 6840 – Content Management Systems

The sessional instructor will teach this elective course in the Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) program during the 2017 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week, September – December 2017.

Requirements of the Position:
MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in content management or digital libraries. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

The instructor reports to the Director of the School. Duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. Additionally, updates and revisions to the syllabus, in consultation with the Director will be required. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.
