Upcoming Discussion Groups

Posted by Centre for Learning and Teaching on January 29, 2016 in General Announcements

Facilitated by: Jill Marie McSweeney, IDPhD (Candidate), Educational Developer (Graduate Students), Centre for Learning and Teaching.

Introverts are often misunderstood. They can be characterized as shy, passive, and disinterested, and are forced to champion extroverted characteristics such as confidence, spontaneity, exuberance, and candour. Almost 50% of the population are introverts, which means that it is important to understand how introverts are teaching, and how introverted students learn in largely extroverted classrooms. How do we encourage the cultivation of introverted behaviours and talents, and create environments where introverts flourish?
