INSTRUCTOR (100%, Full-time)
DEPARTMENT OF BIOLOGY
DALHOUSIE UNIVERSITY
Applications are invited for a full-time, probationary appointment at the rank of Instructor, to begin July 15, 2015, or as soon as possible thereafter. The Instructor is responsible for developing, organizing and delivering lectures, and coordinating tutorials/field/laboratories components of several courses. These courses may vary over time but will initially consist of the following: Biology 2060 (Introductory Ecology); Biology 3060 (Environmental Ecology); Biology/Environmental Science/Planning 3225 (Plants in the Human Landscape); Biology/Environmental Science 3226 (Economic Botany, Plants and Civilization); Biology 3601 (Nature Conservation); Biology 3634 (Agroforestry); and Biology 3762 (Terrestrial Ecology).
Candidates should have an advanced degree in biology and previous teaching experience with demonstrated evidence of teaching excellence. Candidates must also have good interpersonal skills, experience with BLS (or other on-line learning systems) and the ability to work as a team member.
Salary will be according to qualifications and experience, as determined by the Collective Agreement between The Board of Governors of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøFaculty Association.
