Teaching Assistant Position in the Contemporary Studies Programme

The Contemporary Studies Programme (CTMP) at the University of King鈥檚 College invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to handle duties in CTMP 2330:听 鈥淩eflections on Death.鈥� The course (offered in the fall term) will introduce students to philosophical (eg. Plato, Hegel, Nietzsche and Heidegger), literary (Tolstoy, de Beauvoir, Edson, Sartre) and biomedical perspectives on death.
听
Candidates for the position should have at least an undergraduate degree and experience in modern and contemporary continental thought. Prior TA experience and/or interdisciplinary training would be assets.
听
Duties will include attending weekly lectures (Tuesdays 1:05-2:25), leading a seminar group (Thursdays 1.05-2.25), reading course materials, grading, office hours (one hour per week) and meeting occasionally with the professor. The pay scale will match the collective agreement between 黑料吃瓜网and CUPE.
