(Halifax, N.S.) - ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø presents our MUSCLE MLK Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Julie Moore and Chelsea Slawter-Wright are this week’s co-MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week winners.

Julie Moore, Volleyball

Third-year outside hitter Julie Moore is this week’s co-MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Julie led the Tigers to a weekend-sweep of the UNB Reds to improve to 4-0 in the regular season.

She had 11 kills, 10 digs, two blocks and an ace for 13.5 points in the Tigers 3-0 win over UNB Friday night.

On Saturday afternoon, she added another 11 kills, 14 digs and two aces for 13 points and Subway Player of the game honours.

A commerce student, Julie is from Halifax, N.S.

Chelsea Slawter-Wright, Basketball

Fifth-year guard Chelsea Slawter-Wright is this week’s co-MUSCLE MLK Female Athlete of the Week.

Chelsea led the Tigers to a 72-67 win over the StFX X-Women Saturday night in their regular season home opener.

She scored 24 points and added eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in the win in her 36 minutes on the court.

A personal-best performance since joining the Tigers, Chelsea earned Subway Player of the Game honours as a result.

A therapeutic recreation student, Chelsea is from Dartmouth, N.S.

Keevan Veinot, Basketball

Third-year guard Keevan Veinot is this week’s MUSCLE MLK Male Athlete of the Week.

Keevan led the Tigers to victory in their 2019-20 regular season home opener over the weekend.

He scored 21 points in the Tigers 93-61 win over the X-Men Saturday night. He also had five assists, four rebounds, three steals and one block in his 35 minutes on the court to earn Subway Player of the Game honours.

A native of Port Williams, N.S., Keevan is a commerce student.
