The One Moment Quidditch Tournament was a cult hit with Dal students and the larger community. Featuring five teams (the returning Chudley Cannons and Appleby Arrows, and newcomers The Golden Thimbles, the Deathly Half-Notes, and P.D.T. United), epic games were fought on broomstick by the witches and wizards of Wickwire.

Spectators braved the October frost on Sunday to support their favorite teams, and the matches were fast-paced, furious, and fraught with Bludger, Snitch and Quaffle action.

The Quidditch Tournament was organized and staged by One Moment, a ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøratified AIDS-relief society; donations were accepted at the entrance of Wickwire Field, and "fan bags" and refreshments were sold throughout the games. One Moment chairs Geoff Seto, Fahad Kabir, and Jillian Soh acted as coaches and commentators throughout the match. This is One Moment's first major event of the year; other fundraisers will be held regularly, especially coinciding with seasonal events and other special occasions.

Highlights of the Quidditch tournament include the football-esque "P.D.T. United cheer"; a modern young witch who eschewed her broomstick for the more up-to-date Swiffer; the snazzy hooded robes sewn by the Golden Thimbles; and a Snitch who darted behind spectators and scaled a fence in order to elude equally determined Seekers. Pointy hats, broomsticks, and bright cloaks aside, the Quidditch Tournament was a fun and unique Halloween fund-raiser that everyone could enjoy.
