ÔTis the season for retirement parties. Gabriele Wamboldt has worked as the administrative secretary in the German department for the past 19 years and is retiring at the end of the month.
She's finding it tough to say goodbye.
"After all these years, ϳԹhas become my second home," says the native of Munich, Germany. She plans to travel, improve her golf game and take up piano again. "I'm going to miss the opportunity to speak my native language on a daily basis and all the contact with so many interesting people, the professors and the young people."
Michael Roughneen, Assistant Vice President of Personnel Services, spent 26 years at ϳԹand said his time here was wonderful.
ÒOf course, the prospect of retirement is wonderful too,” he laughed, at his retirement bash held in the Great Hall last week.
