Biography

Eli started her social work career as an advocate in a community health centre in the late 1990s where she worked primarily with people living with HIV/AIDS, lesbians, gay men, and bisexual,  and trans people. Her practice includes community development, disability rights, LGBT and queer rights, anti-racism, individual and system advocacy, political activism, feminist organizing, crisis intervention, frontline program development and leadership, and policy development and change. Eli’s academic work mirrors her social work career as she continues to work in areas of HIV/AIDS, health equity, and social justice.Ìý
