At Thursday night's ϳԹIMPACT Awards, the first student from Faculty of Computer Science - Hasmeet Singh Chandok - receives the top award for exceptional contributions or leadership in student life.
On March 19 & 20, Dalhousie's Computer Science Society hosted their second-ever Game Jam in ShiftKey Labs. Around 20 students came together for the weekend to make games around the theme "Mythology" - some students were experts in game development, and some had never worked on games before!
ShiftKey Labs, the Dal-hosted information communications technology sandbox, teamed up with the global technology company to host a “hackathon” event for students. Their challenge: develop applications using information from the Government of Nova Scotia’s Open Data Portal.
