Pythian Games 2021

Posted by Classics Department on January 4, 2021 in News

SalveteÌývosÌýomnes! We’re pleased to announce that this year’s Pythian Games are on! This year, we’ll be doing things virtually and everyone who wants to participate will have the opportunity. Please send us your performance in a video or audio format. You can film or record yourself, but you’re also welcome to animate, draw, or create in any medium you prefer. As always, any and all submissions in ancient and modern languages will be accepted. In previous years, performances have ranged from skits, to poetry, and even opera! We’ll be accepting submissions from alumni as well as current students. Although we’ll miss having this event in person, we hope you’ll take this opportunity to be creative in whatever way you please. There will be a live component with the King and Queen of the games, the faculty, and the Res Publica executive for the airing and judging of the performances where you’re welcome to join us. There will be the traditional cash prizes, as well as a brand-newÌý»å±ð³¾´Ç²õÌýprize voted on by the audience! This live part will be uploaded later if you can’t make it. This won’t be until March of next year, but we wanted to give everyone enough time to get planning!
