Lucas Maxwell (MI'07) has been awarded the British Empire Medal for his work in school libraries and education, as part of the 2024 King's Honour List in the United Kingdom. In August, he attended the King's Birthday Garden Party at Buckingham Palace and attended a ceremony with the Lord Lieutenant of Surrey where he received his medal. Maxwell is grateful for this honour and is excited to promote the importance of school libraries in the future.
